Ms. Andrews has been with the firm since 2007 and brings with her over 25 years of litigation experience in all aspects of trial and appellate practice.  Her practice consists primarily of business law, commercial litigation, oil and gas litigation, and bankruptcy law in Mississippi and Louisiana.  She has been a member of the Louisiana Bar since 1988 and the Mississippi Bar since 2007.

Education

Ms. Andrews graduated from Duke University in 1984, with a bachelor of arts degree in economics and obtained her juris doctorate from Tulane Law School in 1988.

Professional Narrative

Ms Andrews was in private practice in New Orleans for four years before becoming an Assistant District Attorney, under Harry Connick, Sr., at the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office.  During her ten years at the DA’s office, she prosecuted over 100 felony jury trials and over 60 bench trials. She has prosecuted cases ranging from misdemeanors to rapes, armed robberies, capital murders, and complex white collar crimes.  At the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, she held the positions of Senior Trial Attorney, Violent Offender Strike Force Attorney, Sex Crimes Screener, and for the last 5 years of her tenure was the Division Chief of the Economic Crimes Unit, which investigated, screened and prosecuted white-collar crimes in Orleans Parish.  Ms. Andrews joined the Ralph White in 2007 and brings with her over 20 years of litigation experience, which includes all aspects of trial and appellate practice.

Bars, Courts and Professional Affiliations

Ms. Andrews is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Mississippi State Bar Association, the Lafayette County Bar Association, and practices before all Louisiana and Mississippi state and federal courts, the U.S. Northern District of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeal for the 5th Circuit Court, U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Federal Circuit.  Ms. Andrews has served on the Public Access and Consumer Protection, and the Practice Assistance and Improvement Committees of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and served as an agency representative for the National White Collar Crime Center through 2002.

Personal

Ms. Andrews was born and grew up in New Orleans.  She moved to Oxford, Mississippi in 2002 with her husband Hans Sinha, who is a professor at Ole Miss Law School, and their three children, Alexa, Mia and Anders.

She is involved in the Oxford community and has been on the board of the Oxford Endowment for Public Education previously serving as its vice-president and president.  She is also a past president of the Ole Miss University Dames organization.
